I am 56 years old and had my right hip replaced about a year ago. After my recovery, the physical therapist recommended Pilates. I was referred to Paola by a friend. Her evaluation session was thorough and she listened to my concerns over the prosthesis on my right hip and arthritis pain on my left hip. Paola is extremely knowledgeable and most of all passionate about her discipline. She tailors each session specifically for my condition and also redesigns exercises that don’t work with an arthritic hip. She is working the muscles around my hips to prepare me for my upcoming surgery to replace my left hip. I am confident that my recovery will be much quicker this time. Since going to her, I feel better than I’ve felt in years and I have been able to sleep through the night with no pain

A few years ago, I attended a mat group class at a local gym. I remember leaving the room extremely disappointed and convinced I would never try Pilates again. I am an architect and a scuba diver instructor and unfortunately, my back constantly hurts due to the heavy equipment I have to wear. A friend of mine convinced me to give Pilates another try and she introduced me to Paola. Paola is great, professional and extremely patient. With her I performed exercises that I thought my body could never do. My back pain is gone and my flexibility and strength have drastically improved. I can easily say that Pilates gave me a new body thanks to her. Because this method is so addictive, I have being going to another pilates studio in my town since Paola has gone back to the US but I have to admit it is not the same without her. I really hope deep in my heart she will be back one day

Paola has been my Pilates instructor for several years, and never once has she taught me the same lesson twice. Paola customizes classical and contemporary routines and creatively mixes Pilates with Franklin Method to keep me engaged and challenged. In mat classes, duets, and privates, Paola impresses me with her attention to form and her ability to adjust for individual needs. When I have aches and pains (life, right?), Paola always includes techniques to help me ease them. And Paola knows when to push me to the next level. I am amazed at the progress I’ve made, and I definitely feel stronger and more confident. I can attribute that directly to Paola!

Paola has taught me in mat classes and duets for several years. When I came to class with pain in my knee, Paola suggested private lessons to focus on my knee. Literally after the first session, my knee was dramatically improved. Paola and Pilates helped me get back to normal. I definitely have gotten stronger and more flexible thanks to Paola.

My personal journey has taken me from several physical problems due to surgery and extensive treatments that left me debilitated and easily tired to walking erect with a good gait and having more energy and stamina. When I started training with Paola, I hunched my shoulders, my gait was irregular because of a side effect from medication that affected my feet. some of those problems are 60%-80% better and a couple have resolved. One of my goals when I started Pilates with Paola 18 months ago was being able to wear my Ferragamos (that have a modest heel) again and …I did it!!!!!

I can’t recommend Paola enough. I have taken private sessions with her for over 7 years. At the beginning, my sciatica was killing me. Paola is a devoted student of Pilates, the Franklin Method and of the body and its structure. With her knowledge and skills, Paola has helped me to pretty much be pain-free. Plus, after one session, I was hooked. Pilates is really magical. It is hard work but so worth it. And with Paola it’s fun! I also fractured my shoulder a couple of years ago. My recovery from surgery astounded the physical therapists. I attribute my ability to recover to Paola’s Pilates. I encourage all to try her classes and sessions. She will help you with your body aches plus you ‘ll have a blast!

I absolutely love Paola’s Pilates classes. I first started with Paola to help cure my sacroiliac joint pain that affected my hips and lower back and her Pilates sessions have helped diminish my pain since the very start. My core strength and overall flexibility achievements are truly remarkable.
